BIG LOVE | The 4 Immeasurables

Saturday, Feb 24 11:30 am - 5 pm | Instructors: Tenzin Chogkyi & Cayce Howe, Certified Instructors

The Four Immeasurables, or the Four Brahma viharas in the Pali tradition, are loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity. These characteristics are essential qualities that, when developed, lead to constructive emotions, well-being, and genuine happiness.

In this daylong retreat, we will explore these four qualities and the practices used to cultivate them. The sessions will include an explanation of these practices, guided meditations, and time for discussion.
We will take a short lunch break, so bring a sack lunch!

Cost: $80 per person

Tenzin is a certified teacher of Compassion Cultivation Training, a secular compassion training program developed at Stanford University. She also teaches the Cultivating Emotional Balance program, a secular program using contemplative techniques drawn from Buddhism for managing emotions, developed at His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s request.
